When you place your eStrataHub order, you will be asked to input your credit card information. When you do, we request a pre-set authorization of the estimated amount against your card. This is similar to using your credit card to fill up your car at a gas station.
This pre-set authorization serves to validate that the card is in good standing. The pre-set authorization will re-apply itself every few days until your order is delivered and you complete payment for the final amount of the eStrataHub order.
Please note that when the authorization is re-applied, the old one is deleted so the amount of the pre-set authorization remains static while your order is prepared.
During the pre-set authorization period (the time between placing your order and when you authorize payment of the final amount) nothing is charged to your card. However, the credit available on your card is reduced by the pre-set authorization amount.
Once you make payment on your eStrataHub order, the pre-set authorization is released and the final amount of the order is charged to your card.
